When i went to new york you had to sign up a month in advance to get into the statue of liberty they did background checks during that time and if you had gone to jail recently they didnt let you in.
Even if you were 10 minutes lat they wouldnt hold your ticket if you cancelled they wouldnt let someone else come in your place or buy your ticket and you couldnt even bring any wraps or shawls. they took an old womans in front of us!
it is pretty cool even if most people cant go in it, or if the few that can cant go to the very top due to structural flaws and the entire statue is rusting and falling apart. the statue is under constant maintenance. the grass was the shortest i had ever seen! i seriously saw a guy measuring it!
